The Three Musketeers – Chapter 42 |”The Anjou Wine”
This was quite the fun chapter to read, it is amazing how Dumas is able to weave so many compelling emotions together in a single chapter: joy, excitement, fear, anxiety, sadness, anguish, paranoia, introspection. Dumas characters (albeit type-casted) have a way of coming alive through the action of each chapter. I particularly like Athos, he is such a rad dude.
The Three Musketeers – Chapter 41 |”The Siege of La Rouchelle
This chapter was much longer than the last, but I am glad that Alexandre Dumas has such a fantastic way of bringing together both history and story telling into one picturesque tale. I only hope that my reading it for my household does it justice for my audience.
Even if it just be those at home with me while I read.
